It was a wet but victorious homecoming Friday night as the 8th ranked Ishpeming Hematites hosted the 7th ranked Norway Knights.
Ishpeming started the game with an opening game drive for 73 yards in the first first quarter and followed with their next drive for a 62 yard drive also for a touchdown in the second quarter. The Norway Knights fought right back with a 90 yard pass for a touchdown but the Hematites responded with a 98 yard kickoff return.
In the second half it was all Ishpeming as they scored unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter through the air and the ground and another along the ground in the 4th.
Next week the Hematites host the Munising Mustangs Friday night! Pregame starts at 7pm Eastern Time, kickoff at 7:30pm on WRUP 98.3FM.
